The Heidelberg Wind Ensemble is a member of the Heidelberg Orchestras Inc. (HOI). We maintain strong links with them and our performances are part of the HOI program. You can find more information about Heidelberg Wind Ensemble on the HOI web site.
We aim to have one player per part, all positions are auditioned. This wind band requires high standard performers on all instruments. The minimum age for audition is 18 however, there is no upper age limit for any member of the ensemble and as such, is intended to be an ensemble for the musically skilled adult amateur/professional musician who really wants to perform in a Wind Band that will be dealing with the serious and challenging Wind Band repertoire.
The Wind Band rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:40 pm at the Moreland City Bands rehearsal room at 22 Cross Street, East Brunswick. There is ample free car-parking at the venue and it is a short walk from the Lygon Street Tram, Route 6 or 1, (Glen Iris – Moreland/Coburg) if you are coming from the City. Disembark at Albert or Victoria Street, East Brunswick.
